Project feature #1: Mount Martha Retreat
A home designed to breathe, the Mount Martha Retreat is all about blurring the line between indoors and out. Timber played a central role here and not just in the flooring, but across custom cladding, ceiling panels, built-in cabinetry, and even the concealed ensuite doors. The result is a space that feels cohesive and calm, with warm, natural textures grounding every room.
From the soft-toned floorboards underfoot to the seamless extension onto the timber decking outside, every surface invites connection to nature. The bedroom, wrapped entirely in timber, creates a sense of retreat and calm, while the living spaces are open, textural, and full of natural light.
This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful timber design can transform a home into something that feels genuinely lived-in and deeply personal.
Project feature #2: Mount Martha Residence
There’s no ignoring the floors in this home.
The parquetry is bold, rich, and deeply expressive, instantly setting the tone for the entire interior. With a classic herringbone pattern in a deep, moody finish, it gives the home a sense of sophistication while still feeling warm and grounded.
The darker timber creates contrast against the clean white walls and high ceilings, letting other materials like leather, stone, and brass shine in the space. From the arched cabinetry to the oversized kitchen island, every design element feels uplifted by the flooring underfoot.
It’s a perfect example of how parquetry, when done right, can completely redefine the look and feel of a home.
Project feature #3: Brass House
Brass House doesn’t play it safe (and that’s exactly why it works). This project is bold, theatrical, and unapologetically eclectic, with every surface and finish chosen to make a statement. Against this vivid backdrop of gold cabinetry, red velvet, sculptural furniture and vintage décor, the timber flooring had to hold its own. And it does.
We used a deep-toned chevron pattern here, grounding the space with richness and rhythm. The contrast between the dark timber and the brushed brass surfaces is sharp but intentional, creating a sense of drama that feels layered rather than loud. From the soft gleam of the floor to the curves of the cabinetry, everything is in conversation.
It’s a home that proves timber flooring doesn’t have to disappear into the background. In fact, it can anchor even the most expressive interior with elegance and edge.
Project feature #4: Hinkler House
Light, calm, and quietly luxurious, Hinkler House is a masterclass in restraint. Every surface is considered, every detail intentional, and the flooring is no exception. For this home, we used our Storm finish, a pale-toned timber that brings a soft, sandy warmth underfoot while keeping the space feeling open and breezy.
Running throughout the entire home, the finish complements the rich layers of texture. It pairs effortlessly with the blush-toned marble island, the soft rendered walls and the barely-there linen drapes. It’s subtle but impactful, lifting natural light and giving every room a sense of calm cohesion.
This is a space that shows how the right timber finish can elevate minimalist design. It’s understated, but unforgettable.
Project feature #5: Yacht Court House
Yacht Court House brings a sense of serene elegance to coastal living. Every element in the home is designed with harmony in mind—soft neutral tones, flowing curtains, and sculptural features that blend effortlessly with the timber flooring.
Whether it’s the curved stair rails, archway details, or custom joinery, the flooring acts as a unifying base that elevates the quiet sophistication of the design. Yacht Court House is a beautiful reminder of how timber flooring can bring both cohesion and character to a home.
