The properties of cork make it an all-purpose problem solver, suitable for a wide range of housing and commercial applications.
Allergen Inhibiting
Cork flooring’s anti-static nature makes it resistant to dust, allergens, and toxins, making it an ideal option for a cleaner home. The natural antimicrobial and water resistant properties actively prevent the accumulation of trapped dirt, dust, germs, mold, and mildew, actively promoting a healthy and hygienic environment.
Uniquely Tactile
Ever enjoyed the springiness of a wine cork? Imagine that gentle bounce underfoot, easing joint pressure and enhancing overall comfort.
Durable and Versatile
Soft yet resilient, cork’s cellular structure makes it resistant to dents, scratches, and daily wear and tear.

Cork Flooring Installation FAQs
Natural cork flooring is very durable – with proper care, it can last 40 years or more! Our cork products are naturally resilient and can bounce back from minor dents thanks to their cellular structure.
Cork is a great choice for those living with allergies or asthma. It’s naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites, mould, and mildew. It also doesn’t trap allergens like carpet does.
One of the best things about cork flooring tiles is that they really don’t need much maintenance at all. A quick sweep or vacuum is enough to keep it spick and span. For a deeper clean, use a damp mop and a mild soap solution, but make sure you don’t get the floors too wet.
You can also occasionally re-seal it to keep it looking its best for years to come.
Cork is a great flooring option for many rooms! It shines in living areas, bedrooms, and even home offices due to its comfort and sound insulation. We generally don’t recommend having cork in kitchens or bathrooms due to moisture concerns, although in some kitchens it may work for low-splash zones with proper sealing.
While cork flooring is naturally water resistant, it’s not entirely waterproof. Spills should be cleaned up quickly to avoid moisture seeping into the tiles or planks. Sealed cork offers more protection, but consistent moisture exposure can still damage the floor.
Cork can show minor surface scratches due to its softer nature. That said, one of cork’s unique properties is its elasticity. It has a good ‘memory’ and can often bounce back from minor scratches. Placing protective pads under furniture can help minimise scratches.
Absolutely! It’s durable enough to withstand scratches and provides a comfortable surface for pets.
There are two main methods of installation: floating floor or glued-down cork flooring.
For floating floors, an underlayment is placed first. Cork planks are then clicked together over the subfloor. Glue-down installation involves applying adhesive to the subfloor and pressing the cork tiles into place.
Both methods ensure a seamless, durable finish. We recommend professional installation for best results.
Yes, cork flooring is highly suitable for commercial use. Its durability and resilience make it ideal for high-traffic areas. Cork’s natural sound-absorbing properties help create a quieter environment, and its comfortable surface is beneficial for spaces where people stand or walk frequently. Plus, its eco-friendly and easy-to-maintain nature makes it a practical and sustainable choice for commercial settings.
If your cork flooring has been damaged, sanding and refinishing is an option. This involves stripping away the polyurethane coating and buffing the floors back to their natural cork before refinishing once again.
