The Vision
The vision for Bravo House was to create a home that offered more than just functionality — it needed to feel restorative. A calm retreat for a busy family, where life could unfold naturally and beautifully.
The design approach was one of subtlety and purpose: a palette of warm neutrals, considered detailing, and a spatial layout designed to soothe rather than shout. The result is a home that feels as though it’s always been there — timeless, grounded, and intimately connected to the people who live within its walls.
Equally important was working with materials and partners whose values aligned. From low-VOC finishes to sustainably sourced flooring, every element was chosen not only for its visual harmony, but for its integrity.

The Details
There’s a quiet richness in the restraint of Bravo House. A warm, muted palette lets form and texture lead — where soft whites and natural timber create interplay between light and shadow, and thoughtful finishes bring subtle complexity to every surface.
Timber flooring played a pivotal role in grounding the home’s aesthetic. The Atelier in UV Lacquer boards offer more than just a beautiful finish — they introduce a sense of warmth underfoot, a tactile softness, and a tone that complements the natural light with effortless elegance.
Throughout, texture was used as the primary language: timber battens with refined profiles, gloss tiles that gently catch the light, and subtle curves that soften the home’s geometry. Together, these details create a sense of calm continuity — a home that flows, breathes, and belongs.

Styling the Space
The styling at Bravo House honours the architecture without overshadowing it — curated and minimal, but never sterile. The client’s own pieces were complemented by styling from Belle Bright Projects, whose eye for balance brought softness and cohesion to the final interiors.
The furnishings echo the home’s values: timeless, textured, and functional. Nothing feels overly polished or precious. Instead, the spaces feel lived in and loved — a reflection of the real, everyday beauty this home was built to support.

The Challenges
Like many new builds, Hinkler House had to find a balance between aspiration and budget. As a knockdown rebuild and not a forever home, every decision was carefully weighed to ensure long-term appeal and smart investment.
Coordinating landscaping and external works before moving in added further complexity, but with a clear plan and strong design direction, the result is a home that feels elevated, resolved, and ready for life from day one.

Lessons from the Journey
When asked for advice, Toneya and Lochlan are clear: trust your instincts. “Evaluate all your finishes together, look at them in different lights and settings, and don’t overthink it. Too many opinions can water down your vision.”
In short: be considered, be confident, and stay true to your design intent.

The Kustom Timber Experience
It was a joy to work with Toneya and Lochlan, and luckily, the feeling was mutual.
“Kustom Timber provided an exceptional experience, offering expert advice and flexible service. We appreciated their patience and transparency regarding cost and lead times, making our decision-making process smoother. We visited the showroom at least 3 times before we settled on Storm.”
