The Vision
From the outset, Casa Cove was envisioned as a sanctuary – a home that spoke not only to its idyllic coastal setting, but to the rhythm of everyday life within it. Nestled in the heart of Noosa Waters, the design intent was to craft a space that felt serene, tactile, and timeless – a quiet escape anchored by nature and shaped by purpose.
Interior designer Eve Gunson drew on the enduring elegance of Mediterranean architecture, where soft curves, organic textures, and warm tones work in harmony to create a sense of calm. Every element was carefully considered to reflect this ethos – from the material palette to the architectural flow – resulting in a home that is effortlessly refined, deeply personal, and unmistakably connected to its landscape.

The Details
At Casa Cove, materiality plays a central role in expressing the home’s architectural calm. The palette is intentionally restrained – a curated layering of neutral hues, natural oak, stone, and subtle texture, designed to evoke softness, light, and a grounded sense of place.
Flooring was a pivotal element in achieving this vision. Selected from our Habitat Collection, the boards bring warmth and depth underfoot, while seamlessly connecting each space through tone and grain. The soft, sandy hue and matte finish of the timber provide a quiet foundation – timeless in aesthetic, and rich in texture.
From sculpted curves to sun-washed surfaces, every finish was chosen not only for its beauty, but for how it speaks to the home’s overarching design language: one of movement, ease, and elevated simplicity.

Styling the Space
The interiors at Casa Cove extend the architectural language of the home – soft, grounded, and elegantly understated. Furnishings were thoughtfully curated to echo the natural materiality of the space, with organic textures, sculptural forms, and a palette of warm neutrals that nod to the home’s Mediterranean inspiration.
Every selection was made with intention – not only to complement the spatial flow, but to support the rhythm of daily family life. With two young children and a third on the way during the renovation, practicality was essential. Yet, this functionality never came at the expense of style. Instead, durability and design coexisted seamlessly, resulting in a space that feels both elevated and deeply lived-in – where beauty is quietly resilient and comfort is built in.

The Challenges
As with any ambitious renovation, Casa Cove came with its own set of complexities – most notably, the reality of living through the transformation with two young children and a third on the way.
Rather than stepping away, the family embraced a phased approach, leaning on the home’s strong existing floor plan to manage the renovation in stages. Though far from effortless – at times without a functioning kitchen, and often surrounded by the rhythm of construction – the process was guided by a clear design vision and a commitment to the outcome.
In the end, that considered, strategic approach ensured that even the most disruptive moments were in service of something enduring – a home shaped by both thoughtful design and lived experience.
