ABOUT THE ROLE

Kustom Timber is seeking a professional Business Development Manager who is passionate about building and architecture to build relationships with new and existing clients and represent our brand by providing a high level of service and sales experience. You will primarily be the first impression of our business and will be the point of call for our commercial building clients. You will be required to have exceptional knowledge of our products and business as you bring awareness and credibility to the brand. Working closely with the sales team, you will be responsible for hitting targets and KPI’s.

 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Having an in-depth knowledge of products and services
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Develop new relationships with the building and trade industry
  • Actively searching for sales leads with Trade, Architects and Designers in the area

 

ABOUT YOU

Ideally have strong networks with both local and national builders, and proven experience at successfully developing strategic partnerships both internally and externally to deliver quality results. You will be confident in approaching clients and giving presentations about our products. You will be driven  and enthusiastic to generate new business and brand awareness.

 

SKILLS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar BDM role preferred but not essential
  • Strong time management, administration and organisational skills
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Attention to detail and reliability
  • Summarising scope of works and tender datasets
  • Experience with EstimateOne, BCI and Aconex will be advantageous
  • Good understanding of construction methods
  • Willingness to learn
